About this event
Connecting Regional Talent to National Platforms is a two-day workshop designed to break down traditional industry barriers and bridge the gap between grassroots regional creators and sustainable international careers.
Hosted by the Devon Film Office, with support from Exeter University and the Exeter Phoenix, this collaborative event brings together regional students, emerging filmmakers, SMEs and national production leaders.
Whether you work in scripted film, unscripted media, or animation, this is your chance to share real-world intelligence and learn how to make an impact on a national level.
Day One focuses outwardly on national pathways, covering the architecture of a winning pitch package, creative funding, and modern distribution realities.
On Day Two, the focus shifts inward toward building a career from the South West, diving into strategies for scaling up local production houses sustainably.
The event wraps up with an exclusive networking session tied directly into the Exmouth Film Festival to help expand your creative hub.
