About this event
Venerable Nick Shutt is a retired archdeacon in the Church of England and until recently a non-residentiary canon at Exeter Cathedral.
Nick was ordained in 1994 and, between 1983–2008, practiced as a solicitor in private practice, retiring to take up a full-time, unpaid role in the CofE as firstly a rector in multi-parish ministry on Dartmoor, and then as an archdeacon in Exeter and Truro Dioceses. Nick is married to Corinne and has two grown-up children and five grandchildren. Photography and writing are his passions, and dog-walking is a daily necessity for his two spaniels.
Both literature and faith seek to answer fundamental questions about what it means to be human. During his talk, Nick will speak about his new (and first) novel Marjorie’s Memoirs. Join us for a fascinating conversation followed by a short service of compline.
