To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the comic inspired, camp Y2K classic, Josie and the Pussycats, Dolly’s Film Club is teaming up with Cinema Rediscovered: Comics Come Alive to bring you an extra special screening. Josie (Rachel Ligh Cook) leads kickass group the Pussycats (Tara Reid & Rosario Dawson), as they start gaining popularity and entering the mainstream they find they are being used by corporate meanies to slip subliminal messages into songs. Featuring a peak DFC cast including deliciously dastardly Parker Posey & Allen Cumming, Josie and the Pussycats is as much corporate critique as it is a fun bop teen flick. This special screening will include even more catnip, including the opportunity to try your own rockstar identity out, giveaways and as always prizes. Dress code: punk rock promqueen. Down with capitalism, up with Pussycat Power!
